In June, there will be clean land for Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants

On the afternoon of May 5, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung worked with Tin Nghia Corporation and PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV POWER) on the implementation status of the Nhon Trach 3 and 3 Power Plant projects. 4 in Nhon Trach district. Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants were approved by the Prime Minister for PV POWER to be the investor in 2018. The project has a capacity of 750MW, electricity output of 10.5 billion kWh/year. According to the plan, the project will start construction in the first quarter of 2021 and generate electricity at the end of 2023. When in operation, this factory will generate 22 trillion VND in revenue each year and pay 600 billion VND to the budget and fees. 100 billion VND in resources.

However, there is currently about 13/51 hectares that do not have clean land so construction cannot begin. In addition, PV Power and Tin Nghia Corporation have not yet reached an agreement on industrial park infrastructure usage fees and site clearance compensation costs. PV POWER proposed that the provincial leaders direct the complete resolution of existing problems so that the company can start construction on the project in the second quarter of next year.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung directed Tin Nghia Corporation to coordinate with the locality to complete the site clearance work and hand over clean land to the investor; Nhon Trach District People’s Committee reviews procedures for paying compensation and support to people. Along with that, Tin Nghia must complete the infrastructure of the rental area. Tin Nghia Corporation and PV POWER must agree on costs related to site clearance, rental price and infrastructure rental period. The principle is that PV POWER uses any technical infrastructure and pays for that technical infrastructure. When using the infrastructure, the fee is charged from that point on.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested units and localities to deploy quickly so that this June there will be a clean site for PV POWER to start construction of Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plants, contributing to ensuring energy security for the province and nation.
